Colts Injury Report: Three Colts Don’t Practice Including Two Starters – Stampede Blue

The Indianapolis Colts today released their Wednesday injury report for week 3 of the NFL season.

Tight end Jack Doyle continues to miss practice this week with the knee injury that caused him to miss practice all of last week and ruled him out of last Sunday’s game. It seems as though this is more of a week to week injury than day to day and fans should expect Doyle to continue to miss practice and possibly the game on Sunday against the Jets. The Colts added two tight ends to the practice squad giving even more reason to presume Doyle isn’t going to return soon.

Cornerback Rock Ya-Sin appears on the injury report for the first time this year but it shouldn’t come as a surprise as Ya-Sin was inactive for last Sunday’s game. It did however come as a surprise on Sunday when he was listed as inactive and the team has continued to be vague on the actual reason Ya-Sin missed the game and is missing practice labelling it as just an illness. This is something to monitor as the week goes on.

Linebacker Matthew Adams misses practice with an ankle injury. Frank Reich gave an update to the media on Matthew Adams saying that Adams would be set to miss a few weeks with the ankle injury. Luckily for the Colts Adams isn’t a starter and the team has ample depth at the linebacker position to deal with him missing time.

Safety Justin Blackmon continues to be limited, as he has been all year so far. Blackmon is still working his way back to 100% fitness as he tries to get back from the torn ACL he did in December. Blackmon was on a pitch count last Sunday in his first game of the season. However, Blackmon could be in line to start this week as starting safety Malik Hooker headed to injured reserve for the season.
