How Twitter reacted as Russell Wilson and Seahawks defeated Dolphins – Field Gulls
Over the weekend the Seattle Seahawks went on the road to play the Miami Dolphins, and in moving to 4-0 for just the second time in franchise history have set things up for the 2020 season to potentially be very special. That said, the game against the Fins was, of course, a Seahawks game, meaning the team couldn’t simply win by taking the lead early and pulling away. Instead, while it felt like the team was in solid control for most of the game, the Hawks held just a two point advantage midway through the fourth quarter.
That said, during the course of the game, Twitter did its thing as Seattle remains undefeated and maintained its hold on first place in the NFC West.
There were some fans worried about the absence of Jamal Adams, but Adams was at home locked in for the game.
Bruce Irvin, recovering from ACL reconstruction, shared his feelings on Adams’ gameday post.
However, Adams might not want to remain out for long because his replacement in the lineup, Ryan Neal, seems to be looking to Wally Pipp Adams out of a starting role.
The Seahawks Defense should just run the Ryan Neal Interception Play all the time

Ryan Neal is averaging one interception for every five minutes played let’s see if he keeps this up

two games, two picks for Ryan Neal.
Jamal who?

On a more serious note, Neal has now matched the career high of Tedric Thompson for interceptions in a season, and while it was Neal who got things started for the Seahawks, the day once again belonged to Russell Wilson.
Russell Wilson is the MAN! … them hawks something serious

Russell Wilson said the #Seahawks headsets went out for the series when David Moore caught a 19-yard touchdown.
Wilson was calling the plays himself.

Wilson, of course, can’t win games by himself, and he’s got a very gifted group of weapons at his disposal, including DK Metcalf.
Deep targets lead to boom-bust box scores.
Highest % of targets that are 20+ air yards:
Valdes-Scantling 47%
Marquise Brown 42%
Tim Patrick 33%
Scotty Miller 33%
DK Metcalf 32%
A.J. Green 30%
Adam Thielen 26%

Of course, Metcalf isn’t the only weapon, as David Moore is quietly putting together a solid season to this point as the third option behind Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

WR David Moore has quietly become a tremendous third option for Seattle—his body control is so impressive

However, Wilson’s weapons are not just his receivers, as Seahawks fans have long known Chris Carson’s abilities.
Chris Carson is a different breed. The fact he’s gonna start after having his knee twisted like that is ridiculous.

Carson got the scoring started for Seattle in Week 4.
He showed off his athleticism multiple times, including here during the third quarter.
And then he capped off the scoring for Seattle as well.
KJ Wright on Chris Carson:
“I’m glad I don’t have to tackle anyone like him because I don’t think there’s anyone that runs like him.” #Seahawks

DeeJay Dallas on Chris Carson:
“He’s the lead horse and we go as he goes. He balled today. … He’s a warrior.”

— Stacy Jo Rost (@StacyRost) October 4, 2020
#Seahawks HC Pete Carroll on Chris Carson’s toughness:
“Chris is a stud football player never backing down from anything.”
Coach says Carson told him on Wednesday he was ready to go.

And now it’s back to the VMAC to prepare for the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football in Week 5.
