The Lakers have overcome a slow start yet again in the bubble. After falling behind in the first half, a dominant LeBron James outing (31 points, seven rebounds and six assists) got them within four at the half, and then Anthony Davis took over with 11 third-quarter points to give the Lakers a 93-86 lead after three quarters in Game 3 of their first-round series against the Portland Trail Blazers.
But the Blazers won’t go down without a fight. The combination of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum has 49 points through three quarters, and Carmelo Anthony got hot with 13 points of his own in the third period. The Blazers seem to have their offense back on track. Now they’ll have to right their defense if they want to regain control of this series.
