Just because Saturday’s 4 p.m. ET cut deadline has come and gone does not mean that roster action around the NFL slowed down at all on Sunday. Throughout the day, which is exactly one week away from the first full Sunday slate of regular-season games, teams began filling out their practice squads to try and scan the waiver wire to see what available talent was to be had on the open market, which included some notable names.  

Josh Rosen reportedly found his way to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad to sit and learn behind Tom Brady. Meanwhile, Josh McCown came to a rare agreement with the Eagles to remain in Texas and serve as an emergency practice squad quarterback, making him the oldest practice squad player in league history. The Cowboys were also able to get in on the action, bringing back Brandon Carr, who was with the club from 2012-2016, via the taxi squad.
