Report: Seattle Seahawks expected to sign WR Paul Richardson – Field Gulls

With a handful of wide receivers slowed by injury in training camp, the Seattle Seahawks brought in Paul Richardson for a visit on Wednesday. According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Richardson was to go through COVID-19 testing protocol and, as long as everything went according to plan, could sign later in the week.

The testing protocol is now behind Richardson and we have our answer. The former second-round pick of Seattle’s is back with the team per Garafolo.

Richardson returns to the Seahawks after two seasons in Washington. Injuries forced Richardson to end both seasons on injured reserve, as the speedster played just 17 games across two years. Questions surrounded Richardson’s health during his first stint in Seattle as well, as hamstring and knee injuries limited him before getting healthy and putting together a very strong 2017 campaign.

Healthy once again after a season-ending hamstring injury in 2019, Richardson is back with the Seahawks and could contribute to a team lacking established talents behind Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf.
